If an Instagram post is worth a thousand words, Tyrese has said roughly a million on the subject of Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson's upcoming "Fast & Furious" spinoff movie. His rants have been long and passionate, and now Tyrese has switched formats to talk about the issue on camera with TMZ.
Seated comfortably in the back of his massive ride, Tyrese took to video to clear up things up about his problems with The Rock, explaining that it's all about the timing. "Everybody's coming at me like I'm hating on Dwayne about his spinoff. I'm not. Truth is, I just wish it was releasing at a different time."
Tyrese went on to explain that in 16-years, the films have only been pushed back one other time, and that was because of Paul Walker's death. "It appears that he's being selfish," he said about The Rock. "It appears that he's just so focused on furthering his own self interests, he's making decisions from the seat that he's sitting in...it's f*cked up."
For a while now Tyrese has been telling The Rock to hit his line, but it's not clear if they have had that conversation yet. Vin Diesel has tried to stay neutral about the situation, posting photos of all of the cast mates and sharing his own thoughts in the caption of a photo of himself and The Rock.
"I know there has been a lot of speculation as to why the Fast 9 release date was pushed," he wrote. "It would be unfair to say it is anyone's fault." Diesel went on to say that the franchise needs "maintenance" and that Universal has given him and the team some time to work things out.
Hopefully, everyone can sit down and hash all of this out soon so we can get more movies that don't suck. Do it for Paul!
